Working with Tecnoware
What kinds of organizations do you work with?
We focus on organizations where a system failure has serious operational consequences: public and private banks, public institutions, cooperatives and financial institutions, and private companies with critical processes. That focus is deliberate — it lets us know each sector's regulations and systems in depth instead of covering everything superficially.
Can you work on systems you didn't develop?
Yes. Much of our work consists precisely of integrating existing platforms — including legacy systems and third-party software — with new solutions. We start with an assessment of what you already have running before proposing any change.
Do you serve clients outside Costa Rica?
Our operations are based in Costa Rica, and we have delivered projects across Central America. For operations outside the country, let's discuss the specific scope: the support model and response times vary by location.
Do you take part in public procurement processes?
Yes. We know Costa Rica's government procurement processes and the requirements of the Office of the Comptroller General (CGR). If your institution has a tender under way, we can review the terms and confirm whether our offer qualifies.
Projects and timelines
How does a project start?
With a free assessment. We review your current infrastructure, critical processes and goals, and from there we propose an architecture built for your context — your scale, your regulations and your existing systems. Only then do we talk about scope, timelines and budget.
How long does an implementation take?
It depends on the scope and on how many systems need to be integrated. A single module can take weeks; a core banking integration, several months. What stays constant: we deliver in stages and validate each delivery before moving on, so you see results without waiting for the end of the project.
Do we have to stop operations during implementation?
No. Working on systems that can't stop is the whole reason our methodology exists. Migration is controlled and phased, with rollback points defined at every stage. In banking and government environments, this is non-negotiable.
What do you need from our team during the project?
A technical contact who knows your current systems and someone from the business side who can validate requirements. The load on your team is highest during the assessment phase and the validation of each delivery; we carry out the rest.
Security and compliance
How do you handle the confidentiality of our information?
We sign non-disclosure agreements before accessing any sensitive information. The staff assigned to your project are bound by those same agreements, and access to your systems is granted on the principle of least privilege.
Do your solutions comply with Costa Rican regulations?
Our platforms are designed around the regulatory framework that applies to each sector: SUGEF and the Central Bank (BCCR) in finance, Ministry of Finance rules for electronic invoicing, SUGESE in insurance. When regulations change, updates are part of the service, not an extra charge.
What happens to our data if we end the relationship?
Your information is yours. When a contract ends, we hand over the data in a usable format and document the architecture so another provider can take over. We don't use technical dependency as a way to retain clients.
Support and continuity
What does support include after go-live?
Specialized support under a defined SLA, a Help Desk, planned updates and continuous platform evolution. Subscription tiers vary according to how critical your operation is. Go-live is the start of the relationship, not the end of our commitment.
What is your response time for an incident?
Response times are defined in each contract's SLA, based on the incident's severity level and the subscription tier. For mission-critical systems we offer 24/7 coverage.
Is support provided by the same team that built the solution?
For our own platforms, yes. SICE, SIAFE, ARROW and SIAF are developed and maintained by our team — there's no intermediary between you and the people who know the code.
Don't see your question?
Write to us about your specific case. A specialist who knows your industry will answer you directly — no qualification forms, no intermediaries.
